2025 Community Impact Report

The Veterans Collective is pleased to share the 2025 Community Impact Report for the West Los Angeles VA North Campus, highlighting progress from the last year toward building the largest permanent supportive housing community for Veterans in the country.

Continued expansion of housing for Veterans—as well as the wraparound and supportive services we provide—ensures we are not only offering Veterans a roof over their heads, but also the tools for a brighter, more stable future. With about 750 homes completed or under construction, we’re pleased to be at 60% of our 1,200-unit goal.

On top of having faced homelessness, many Veterans have endured the challenges of mental illness, post-traumatic stress, substance abuse, depression, food insecurity, and more. So, in addition to securing a place to live, residents enjoy the healing power of community—from the company of peers who understand their experience to the strength of a supportive network, providing them a unique sense of belonging and empowerment. The envisioned neighborhood is taking shape.

Thank you to our partners, including the VA, the leadership of our elected officials and private sector collaborators, whose contributions are immeasurable in supporting our Veterans and their families. Your partnership enables us to make this campus transformation a reality and ensure our community has what it needs to rebuild and thrive.

We invite you to learn more about how we’re directly addressing the needs of Veterans and ensuring they have a place to call home and the support services to help them keep it. You can show your support by giving to the Veterans Promise Campaign and help us deliver on the vision for Veteran housing in a therapeutic community intentionally designed for the health and well-being of residents, giving them a reason to hope again.
